Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for Des Moines Public Schools since 2009.  I have been at Walnut Street School since 2010.  I taught first grade for five years before transitioning into Walnut Street’s IB Coordinator and Dean of Students. All of my different positions have prepared me for my current role as principal.

Family/ Hobbies:

I enjoy teaching, children’s literature, IB, traveling, baking and spending time with my friends and family.   A perfect summer day would be going to garage sales, drinking ice tea, and being outside.
