WSS Kindergarteners spent the afternoon of Monday, May 12th at the Des Moines Botanical Center. They learned about plants, and even got to plant some!
Our students walked together through downtown to celebrate physical fitness and healthy living as part of Go the Distance Day. Luck was with us and we had sunny skies and warm temperatures. At an International Baccalaureate school, Walnut Street students learn about life beyond the classroom. Their capstone project explored hunger, civil rights/equality, deforestation, bullying, access to technology, children’s rights, homelessness, and community activism.
