In Your Palm
After hearing a group present information on the Rainforest Action Network, the 5th graders in Mrs. Kuhl’s class decided to take action by participating in an on-line petition to raise awareness on the use of palm oil. Palm oil is a popular ingredient in many foods we eat and is obtained by cutting down trees in rainforests. When these trees are cut down, orangutans lose their homes and as a result their population is decreasing rapidly. The photo is how the 5th graders “signed” the petition! Way to take action 5th graders!!!
